Ground sumac

Sumac has long been used as a food seasoning, either alone or with other spices. It adds a sour taste to juices, appetizers, and some food recipes. It is also used as a food coloring and preservative, in the cosmetics and pharmaceutical industries, and in animal skin processing technology.
