Chinese kibbeh spices

Chinese peppercorns are also known as tailed peppers. They are spice beans that resemble black pepper but are larger in size. Their flavour is between pepper and spice. They are native to Indonesia, but are also grown in Sumatra, Java, Sri Lanka and Malaysia. Their trees can reach a height of 10 metres. When their white flowers bloom, they produce the peppercorns, which are picked while still green and then dried in the sun, becoming black and wrinkled.
